beaver activity at the Jeker river

Today, after a meeting at Kultuur-Fabriek, I walked home over Mount Saint Peter, and through Jeker valley, where I followed the river for a while, looking for beaver activity. And I found a lot of tracks, including the entrance to a den. The sky became darker by the minute when I climbed Cannerberg hill, and I was surprised with a mild hail shower just before I arrived at home.

The first pics are some from Maastricht center, that I took walking to the office at the river Meuse.
